Do a magic trick to impress her or 'break the ice' if you like, but make asking her out an honest, personal question rather than make light of it within a magic trick, it looks too much like a 'pick up line'.
That girl probably already knows if she wants to date you. A magic trick won't add anything to the offer.
Show her and her friends some magic, and have a great time, but don't build in a proposal to date into your trick, she may think you use 'chat-up tricks' all the time….

So right Dominic. Asking a girl out in a “creative” way might seem like it is showing you have put a lot of time and thought into how you want to ask her, but it can very easily come across as hiding behind whatever creative approach is attempted. Plus, if she knows you like magic, she’s unlikely to even see it as you having put in a lot of effort, she’s more likely to assume that you were working on this anyway and thought it might impress her. Honesty is far and away the best approach.
