Mark asks: I need some advice on choosing magic tricks for an 11 year old grandson. He’s taken an interest in magic and is doing really well. I hope to continue to get him new tricks for birthdays and Christmas. His favourites are cups and balls, stacked coins in a cylindrical container. I’m considering getting 3 of the following 4 tricks for him for Christmas – They all look good. Which ones do you recommend, or are there alternatives that you would recommend more highly?
Dominic replies: Great to see you are helping him develop his magic. It’s a brilliant skill to develop and can help him with confidence, self-esteem, and personal development. Best of all, it’s something away from looking at a screen… Here are some popular suggestions in the magic shop and I’m sure he will enjoy them. Each has been picked as they are easy to learn, fun to perform, and also teach broader concepts of magic that will help him later as he grows his skills in magic.
