The Pegasus Theatre in Dallas, Texas established in 1985 produces shows in a special ‘Living Black and White’. The picture above is not retouched. This really is how theatre goers see the play!
The Theatre is not revealing the secret techniques they use to produce this magic illusion. The sets, special lighting, costumes and stylized acting all go to make the show look just like it is from the days of the black and white movies.
It’s a huge feat to accomplish. The actors need special training to not ruin their make-up and even have to learn to talk in a way that will not show the inside of their mouth to the audience.
