Dynamo: Magician Impossible is the UK Face of Pespi Max, and the Merchant of Magic Team were invited to join Dynamo as he started off the ‘Live For Now’ campaign by flying through central London on the 23rd June 2013.
We posted some photo’s of the magic trick, and a short vine video of Dynamo in action. Now Pepsi Max have sent us a complete video of the magic trick.
We saw Dynamo: Magician Impossible flying through London next to a Double-Decker bus, but the team that shot the following video were also lucky enough to see him take to the skies and land afterwards!

As magicians, it’s easy to look at some of Dynamo’s magic trick and see the method right away. However, in doing that, we are missing point. Dynamo doesn’t make magic for other magicians. Dynamo’s magic tricks are designed for the general public, to create a sense of wonder, and fire up their imaginations. Pepsi Max understand this, and see it as a perfect fit for their key message: Find ways to make your everyday life special.
The magic trick was designed to be experienced ‘in the moment’ by passers-by on the streets of London. The reactions in the video above, really are genuine, and show what we saw ourselves on the day: complete astonishment! Making someone feel like that, if only for a fleeting moment, is the true reward magicians get from their magic tricks.
It doesn’t really matter if you work out how Dynamo does his magic tricks, or if they totally fool you. Magic tricks don’t have to be puzzles, to ‘solve’. When you watch a movie, you will have a better time, if you focus on the ‘story’ the film tells you, more than how the film was directed, filmed and acted. Find your inspiration is what is happening before your eyes, rather than trying to figure out how it is possible!
It’s OK to allow yourself to enjoy magic as just that: MAGIC.
